Something Different and Delicious

In my quest to find dinner ideas that my family can enjoy as well as afford, I found this little recipe. Surprisingly, it turned out pretty good!

Spiral Pepperoni Pizza Bake.
1 package (16 oz) spiral pasta
2 lbs. ground beef
1 lg onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cans (15 oz each) pizza sauce
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 package pepperoni
4 cups mozzarella cheese

Cook pasta according to package, meanwhile in separate pan cook beef, onions, salt and pepper.
Once the meat is no longer pink, stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt, remove from heat and set aside
In a small bowl combine milk, eggs and Parmesan. Toss egg mixture with drained pasta and place in a baking dish. Top with beef mixture, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
Cover and bake at 350 for 20 minutes, uncover, and bake another 20 minutes more.

I switched a few things here and there, to accommodate what I already had.
I used some precooked chicken I already had instead of beef. I didn't use pizza sauce either. I used a little Ragu I had left over and one can of tomato sauce.

OK, so don't be offended but it doesn't look very good! Then I read through the recipe and it sounds divine! All my favorites - pizza sauce, mozarella, and pepperoni! Yum! I will definitely have to try this some night.
