The Dish on Derik

1. Where did you meet your husband? Kohler's Grocery Store, we both worked there.

2. How long did you date before you married? Almost a year.

3. How long have you been married? 6 years and 8 Months. This Halloween it will be exactly seven years ago that he proposed to me.

4. What does he do that surprises you? Sometimes he comes up behind me and kisses me on the neck when he comes home from work.

5. What is his favorite feature? This question has me stumped a little, does it mean what's my favorite feature about him, or does it mean what's his favorite feature about me? I'll answer the first since this is about him right? I love his lips ....

And his long, slender and manly hands.

6. What is his favorite quality? Again, not exactly sure what this question is asking but I'm going with....What's my favorite quality about him? His steadfastness in what ever he does. He sees life in black and white. His faith and loyalty to the Gospel.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? When we first meet he called me his Belle, and then he got all sarcastic on me and started calling me Mitch, and now I think he calls me hun, every once in a while.

8. What is his favorite food? Most the foods Derik likes I can't stand, or cook, like seafood, paella and French pastries.

9. What is his favorite sport? Basketball

10. When & where was your first kiss? Our second date, In my car in my driveway at like 5:00 am, after we had spent the night gabbing and Derik finally got the nerve up to plant one on me.

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Haven't discovered this one yet....Although escaping our kids is fast becoming our favorite thing to do.

12. Do you have any children? Two little obnoxiously lovable characters, Dylan and Alivia.

13. Does he have any hidden talents? Hidden, I surely wouldn't know about them if they were hidden? He can find a deal or a coupon for almost anything, he's good at fixing things, and he's certainly really good at never letting me see or know of his struggles and personal feelings.

14. How old is he? 28 for a few more days.

16. What is his favorite music? He's all about talk radio and books on MP3

17. What do you admire most about him? His stubborn determination to prove the world wrong. His sweet sensitive side that only shines through like once every five years. He never quits.

18. What is his favorite color? I seriously have no clue. He wears lots of blues and greens, so maybe they are one of his favorites.

19. Will he read this? Probably not, he's not really interested in my mindless babbling and blogging life.
