Why Being Creative and Cutesie is Dangerous For Me

I wanted a fall centerpiece for our dinner table, but as I looked around I just couldn't justify spending oodles of money on something seasonal. I had this brilliant idea that I could throw one together myself for pretty cheap. So I bargain shopped and here's what I came up with.

I thought it turned out rather cute for being my first attempt at doing anything crafty. I even made this masterpiece without the use of several of my fingers. I was attempting to separate some of the flowers I had bought that came clumped together and low and behold I nearly sliced my finger off.

but it gives you a good idea of how the cut is all the way across my finger

Not only did it go really deep through my first finger
but it sliced through part of my other finger as well
I'm pretty sure the cut on the first finger needs stitches
I can see the inside of my finger and almost two hours later the thing is still bleeding.

This is my other hand although these slices are more like paper cuts

Next time maybe I'll wise up and just buy things already made, it's certainly safer for me that's for sure.
