Four Memories I will Never Forget.
- My first blind date. Actually I think I went on two blind dates, and they were both terrible! I can't remember which happened first, now that I have to think about it, but that doesn't really matter. This guy was a classic creep. Maybe he thought he was being suave and charming, and maybe he thought I was hot for him and he was doing me a favor, but I found myself sobbing in the high school bathroom because he refused to respect my personal boundaries and I was to stupid, intimidated and shy to slap him in the face! After the date was over and I had ditched the doofus, every one in our group headed on over to my family's home to watch a movie. I remember falling asleep on the couch. It wasn't a sound sleep because I remember hearing the movie and the conversation around me. I also remember hearing someone fart! To my ever lasting shame and horror I finally realized it was ME who had farted. I silently went on pretending I was asleep all the while praying I was the only one who heard myself. *fat chance*. I guess it was a nightmarish way to end a nightmarish date!
- The first time Mr. Giovannoni told me he loved me, and yes he said it first!
- The Hell I felt after I had my first baby. I can't even find the adequate words to describe the anxiety, the sweating and itching, the rash, the terror, the hopelessness, the inability to sleep, and my racing heart. Then there were the bili lights for Dylan, that made me feel like we were chained to a wall. All of which culminated when I burned Dylans arm on a curling iron at my mothers when I was giving him a sponge bath, so I could go see the Dr. about my itching bleeding rash. Those are memories I would love to soon forget and never experience again.
- Giving birth to Dylan, Alivia and Isaac. I've written their birth stories before so I won't repeat myself again, but they are certainly memories I hope to never forget. Memories I hold dearest because on their birthday, I was given a precious spirit to hold and love and teach and that is the best gift ever!
