I just had my 31st birthday. Mr. Giovannoni is currently in Canada, so I was a little worried I was going to feel lonely and bored, but that was hardly the case.
The weather was awful (cold, dark, and rainy,) and generally that means my mood is dark and gloomy too. I guess I had a birthday miracle because I woke up happy and stayed happy, despite the weather.
My friend Stacie (who does hair) indulged my latest hair wishes and gave me a new hair cut and some highlights. I love it! Thank You.
My dad took me out to lunch! It was so nice of him. It meant a lot dad, thank you.
I could tell Dylan tried extra hard to be obedient and to please me, even when I knew he was dying inside to whine and pout about everything. Thanks Dylan!
My sheets that I've been impatiently waiting for finally arrived so I got to go pick them up too. I'm going to attempt to cut them up and make this bedspread.
I'm so glad there are brilliant people willing to share their ideas and mad crafting skills for little copy cats like me who are convinced they can make everything homemade for much cheaper.
To all my friends and family who have been so thoughtful and took into consideration my temporary status of being a single mother, every phone call and thoughtful inquiry has helped me feel like I'm loved and cared for. Thank you.
At first I was terrified to take on my kids for two whole weeks without Daddy to help out, but it hasn't been nearly as awful as I imagined it would be. I miss my husband and my kids miss their daddy, but we have been watched over, cared for, loved and blessed so much. It's been super nice not having to cook complicated dinners (corn dogs, cup of noodles and frozen pizza's have been my kids main staple for 2 weeks now), there has been less dishes to do, lots of free time since I'm not preparing meals and there's zero pressure to have the house clean when daddy comes home. I have loved every minute of being a lousy house wife and mother, it's been a fabulous break. So I'm inserting a big giant thank you!
Thank you Mr. Giovannoni for stretching outside your comfort zone and trying out new avenues with work. Your hard work and dedication bless my life. Thank you, I love you!
