Thank You Thursday (Week 3)

Thank you dear friends and family for putting up with my bi-polar-ish mood swings.  One day I'm sky high and happy and the next day I'm in the depths of despair.  I blame it on Utah's version of Spring.  One minute it's lovely and bright and warm, the next it is dark, cold, and snowy.  It's really messing with me!
Thank you to all those whom spoke in General Conference.  You gave me the hope and the faith to keep moving forward.
Thank you Mr. Giovannoni for insisting that I try on and then purchase some Vibram Five Fingers (VFF).  I LOVE them! Who would have thought?
Thank you Mother Nature for a few beautiful sun-shiny days.  I got to mow my lawn and clean out my flower beds and go for long walks with my kids.  I loved every minute of it!
Thank you Laughing Cow for making delicious low calorie low fat cheese wedges.  I look forward to having you everyday.
Thank you mom for getting me the book True to the Faith a Gospel Reference.
It's full of Gospel goodies.  This one especially hit home for me right now.  I found it under the adversity section.
"Your success and happiness, both now and in the eternities, depends largely on your responses to the difficulties of life....
When some people face adversity, they are like Laman and Lemuel (you could write my name in here as well).  They complain and become bitter.  They ask questions like Why does this have to happen to me?  Why do I have to suffer this now.  What have I done to deserve this?...
Rather than responding this way consider asking questions such as, What am I to do?  What am I to learn from this?  What am I to change?  Whom am I to help?"
I also read this great little thought on fasting and it made me think.   For some it might have always been obvious but it didn't really click for me until I read this...
"Your difficulty may be the kind that will go away ONLY through prayer and fasting".
Thank you God for filling my life with good people and good knowledge. Thank you for giving me the blessings of the Gospel.  Thank you for a home that provides shelter and protection.  Thank you for food and clean water.  Thank you for loving me.  Thank you for sending me a great husband and great kids.  Thank you for sending me peace and promptings.  Thank you for being patient with me as I try to acquire the faith to push aside what I want so desperately right now and embrace your timing and your greater plan for me.

I am reading a book right now called "Divine Signatures - The Confirming Hand of God" by Gerald N. Lund. It is very similar sounding to the book you are reading now. I am loving every minute of it and learning so much about trials, patience, and timing. Maybe the library would have it?
